ARTICLE IV:  STANDING COMMITTEES AND DUTIES

Section 1: Standing Committees of this club will be Membership, General Sales, Special Events and Telephone.
Section 2: The Membership Committee shall consist of two or more members. Their duties shall be to conduct all membership drives and make progress reports at all business meetings.
Section 3: The General Sales Committee shall be selected by the officers of the club to oversee the sales of merchandise sold by the club.
Section 4: the officers of the club shall select the Special Events Committee. The Board, of Directors, shall approve each special event.
Section 5: the officers to assist the chairpersons of the various committees and the officers in notifying members of meetings and other notifications, as necessary, shall appoint the Telephone Committee regarding other events of the club.

ARTICLE I:  DUTIES OF THE OFFICERS

Section 1:  It shall be the duty of the President to preside over all business meetings and supervise the work of the other officers and the committees, and prepare an agenda for each business meeting, represent the club and appoint special committee chairperson.
Section 2:  In the absence of the President, the Vice President shall perform the duties of the President, attend all business meetings, and is directly responsible for the membership committee and shall serve as the Chairman or shall be responsible for appointing a chairperson.
Section 3:  The Secretary shall keep and record the minutes of club proceedings and. shall send notice of meetings, notify officers of elections, file copies of committee reports and shall perform correspondence duties.
Section 4:  The Treasurer shall receive and keep the club's funds in a bank designated by the Board and pay out the same only on the order of the president. All bills shall be approved at board meetings.  Any two of the elected officers shall sign checks. The Treasurer shall make an annual report of receipts and disbursements and prepare financial reports to be filed with the club.

ARTICLE II:  ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS

Section 1:  All officers shall be elected by a written ballot by simple majority at a meeting prior to April 30.
Section 2:  Nominating Committee shall propose candidates for each office, submitting proposed candidates' names 10 days prior to election. Other candidates may be nominated from the floor.
Section 3:  No member shall hold office more than 2 years in succession.
Section 4:  Should an office become vacant before new elections are held, the President shall appoint some member in good standing to temporarily assume and perform the duties of the office until next meeting when the vacancy shall be filled by vote of the membership present.

ARTICLE III:  COMMITTEES

Section 1:  At the next regular meeting previous to the election meeting, the President shall appoint a nomination committee to present a list of candidates for election as officers and directors for the upcoming year.
Section 2:  The Board shall appoint such special committees as the Board considers necessary at any time.
